Benton F. Murphy, MD

Dr. Murphy is a 1977 graduate of the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha Nebraska. He completed a year of internship at the Oregon Medical Center in Portland, Oregon.

He worked for the US Public Health Service in Rocky Ford, Colorado until 1981. In 1985, Dr. Murphy completed his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University.

He served as a teaching fellow and Chief Resident through 1986 and has been practicing in Pueblo since that time. Dr. Murphy is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and the Pueblo and Colorado Medical Societies.

He has completed numerous additional training courses on the VISX Excimer Laser System, Hyperopia correction, PRK and the Nidek laser.
