Donald A. Schlomer, MD
A 1977 graduate of the Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Schlomer completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the Tripler Army Medical Center in 1981.
Dr. Schlomer served in the US Army and was Chief of Ophthalmology services at the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.
He was a recipient of the Meritorious Service and Army Commendation Medals. Dr. Schlomer has practiced in Pueblo since 1985.
He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and the Pueblo and Colorado Medical Societies.
He has completed numerous additional training courses on the VISX Excimer Laser System, Hyperopia correction, PRK and the Nidek laser.
