Kent A. Zocchi, M.D. has joined the medical staff of the Rocky Mountain Eye Center as a vitreoretinal specialist.
Dr. Zocchi is performing surgery for retinal detachments and other retinal conditions.
He is seeing patients in clinic for diabetic conditions, macular degeneration and other problems affecting the retina. He will be administering photodynamic therapy and Macugen treatments for wet macular degeneration.
Zocchi has an engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and graduated from the University of Texas School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at the Alton Ochsner Clinic/LSU in New Orleans followed by a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center/Charles Retina Institute.
Dr. Zocchi started at Rocky Mountain Eye Center on November 1st. He will be seeing patients primarily at the Montebello location.
